Community
Community Vision
At Bristol Works! we are creating an enhanced sense of community in an existing neighborhood, while simultaneously creating jobs and improving the local economy.
Throughout the planning process for Bristol Works!, we have sought the input of our immediate neighbors and the larger Bristol community in repurposing the former Autumn Harp site. This approach to economic development, coupled with our collaborative community-building efforts, is critical to maintaining and enhancing our identity as a good neighbor.
As we continue to fully lease our manufacturing spaces, and begin to think about the residential components of the new neighborhood, we will take great care to design high quality, energy efficient, mixed income housing that will be available to people of all ages. This approach will support an alternative to conventional, land consumptive development.
Bristol is a community with a strong sense of history and place. By guiding new growth into an existing neighborhood, we are positioning Bristol Works! as a great place to live, work, learn, play—and age—in community.Community Partners
At Bristol Works! we are providing opportunities for area organizations and businesses to help us build a sense of community on the Bristol Works! campus. Each new tenant that joins the Bristol Works! project greatly enhances the community. By focusing our project around the sectors of Green Energy Manufacturing, Value Added Agriculture, and Health, Wellness, & Recreation, we will continue to create a shared benefit among our partner tenants and the larger community in Bristol’s Five-Town area.
